PPP Lahore President Aziz-ur-Rehman Chan has welcomed Supreme Court verdict, saying that the ruling party should accept it without excuse. He said the apex court verdict has proved that the disqualification of a Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif has posed no threat to democracy and the parliament. He said the PPP has always been supportive to democracy, Parliament and state institution. He criticized the prime minister for not resigning voluntarily and offering himself for accountability. He further added that the verdict would be helpful in controlling corruption from the country. He said the PPP has always supported an across the board accountability. According to him, the PPP workers in the city were highly charged after the verdict and added that the PPP would revive soon under the leadership of Bilawal Bhutto.
