The girl students of private college have got top positions in the results of Higher School Certificate (HSC) annual examinations 2017 as the board of intermediate and secondary education (BISE) Mardan announced result on Tuesday. No one student of the government-run college succeeded to gain position in the top 20 list. Tufail Shaheed Army College Mardan was declared the best institution. The overall pass percentage was 58 percent.
The BISE Controller of Examination, Professor Mohammad Ali announced the results in a ceremony held here at the BISE office. Chairman BISE, Dr Shaukat Hayat, principals of different colleges, board staffs, parents and top position-holders students also attended the ceremony. According to results, the female students of The Peace School and College Nowshera grabbed all the top three positions. Fatima Siddiqui (Roll No 45006) got 1019 marks and stood first, Wajeeha Shah (Roll No 45010) got 1013 marks and stood second while Aatika Noor (Roll No 45005) got 1011 marks and stood third.
In the pre-Engineering group, Syed Shah Saud Bukhari (Roll No 58165) of The Quaid-e-Aama college Swabi, got 992 marks and stood first, Mohammad Adil Khan (Roll No 56047) of the Peace School and college Mardan and Mohammad Nasir (Roll No 58205) of the Quaid-e-Azam College Swabi got 968 marks and stood second while Syed Shah Fahad Bukhari (Roll No 58205) of the same college got 967 marks and stood third.
Similarly, in the General Science group, Hafsa ( Roll No 61712) from Nisar Shaheed Intermediate college Risalpur Nowshera, secured 968 marks and stood first, Feezan Khattak (Roll No 62491) obtained 936 marks secured second, while Kainat (Roll No 61535) from F.G Girls Inter College Mardan, got 866 marks grabbed third position.
In Humanities group, a female private candidate from Nowshera Kalsoom (Roll No 70877) got 935 marks stood first, Hira Ahmed (Roll No 68183) from Noor Education System School and College Kheshgi Bala Nowshera , secured 893 marks grabbed second, while Romaisa Subhan (Roll No 66716) from Government Girls Higher Secondary School Ikram Pur Mardan, got 890 marks and clinched third position.
Out of the total 68,805 students who appeared in the annual examination, 39,797 passed it and the ratio of successful candidates remained around 58 per cent. Despite of the clamming of the PTI chief Imran Khan, Chief Minister Parvez Khattak and provincial minister for Education Mohammad Atif Khan that they brought change in the education sector of the province like the SSC annual results 2017 no one student of government run colleges can succeed to gain position in the top 20 list of HSC annual examination 2017.
