PCB Cricket Coordinator in Mardan and former national cricketer Aasia Noor on Friday said that the Women Under-21 Cricket trials of the Regional Cricket Association Abbottabad will be organized for the first time at Government Post Graduate College for Women Mardan ground. Talking to media on Friday, she said preparation for holding Women Under-21 Cricket trials has already been kicked off. Work on the pitches and grass cutting has started and hopefully the trials will be held in a cordial atmosphere.
Aasia Noor, a former cricketer and Assistant Director Sport Board of Intermediate and Secondary Education Mardan, also thanked President Regional Cricket Association Abbottabad Zahid Saeed, Principal Government Post Graduate College for Women Mardan and Director Sports Shakeela for extending all-out support. The trials, she said, would be started at 9am in the morning and will continue up till 6 pm. She said accommodation for out stationed players have been arranged. The arrival of the players, she said, will complete by August 18, followed by the trials on August 19.
About the selection committee, she said, Pakistan Cricket Board will nominate a selection committee. She said players from Abbottabad, Haripur, Mansehra, Batagram, Tor Gar, Buner, Dir Upper, Chitral, Kohistan and host Mardan will participate in the trials open for all.
