Chief of Jamaat-e-Islami, Pakistan, Senator Sirajul Haq has said that Nawaz Sharif was crying hoarse of a conspiracy against him but was not disclosing who was the conspirator. Addressing a large public meeting at Jhand Bharwana in Jhang district on Saturday, he said that after his disqualification, Nawaz Sharif should gone to the Faisal mosque and offered Nawafil as he had been sent home after the verdict and not straight to the jail.
The JI chief said that Nawaz Sharif was claiming that he had been punished because of the CPEC. He said the hard fact was that the CPEC was being opposed by Indian Prime Minister Modi who was a close friend of Nawaz Sharif.
Sirajul Haq repeated his demand for the accountability of the governments of Pervez Musharraf and Asif Ali Zardari. He said it was interesting that all those who had been ministers in Musharraf regime were also in Nawaz Sharif's cabinet, and added that only Pervez Musharraf had been left out. Let the present PML(N) government invite Musharraf to return home and include him in the cabinet, he remarked.
He said that the gang of thieves had joined hands against articles 62 and 63 but warned that nobody could dare to abolish these articles. He said that a government should have honest and competent people and the proper place of the corrupt was Odiala jail.
The JI chief said that the plunderers were uniting to save their commissions, corruption and kickbacks and added that the masses should also unite against the coterie of the corrupt. He said that even after seventy years of independence, people loyal to Britain were ruling the country. The interest based economic system was still prevailing and around 375 billion dollars of the Pakistanis were lying in banks abroad. He said if this money was brought back to the country, the basic facilities of education, health and employment could be provided to the masses.
The JI chief gave away shield to the brilliant youth Ghulam Murtaza, son of a wage earner, who secured top position in the Secondary School examination in Faisalabad Board and commended his excellent performance.
