Punjab Inspector General of Police (IGP) Arif Nawaz Khan has stressed the need for ensuring 'close' monitoring of the welfare initiatives which are being taken for the families of martyred and serving cops across the province. "The police officers concerned should ensure proper monitoring of the welfare policy which would help us in identifying and solving the problems of martyred and serving cops' families," the IGP vowed.
He said this while chairing a meeting at the Central Police Office (CPO) here on Friday which was also attended by Additional IG (Operations) Punjab Mohsin Hassan Butt, Additional IG (D&I) Ijaz Hassan Shah, Additional IG Special Branch Punjab Faisal Shahkar, Additional IG (Investigation) Punjab Azhar Hameed Khokhar, DIG (Operations) Punjab Amir Zulfiqar Khan, Additional IG (Monitoring) Ahsan Younas besides others.
In the meeting, the IGP directed all the RPOs and DPOs to personally monitor the welfare initiatives in their respective regions or divisions. He said that he would not tolerate delaying tactics in cases relating to the financial matters of kids of martyred families. He said that the police officials should also replicate Lahore police's mobile application 'Welfare Eye' throughout the province which would help them in mitigating the issues of aggrieved families.
