A meeting of the executive council JUI-F Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held here with Provincial Ameer, Maulana Gul Naseeb in the chair in Sahibzada House, Sakhakot, district Malakand on Tuesday. Those attended the meeting included Mufti Kifayatullah, Shuja-ul-Mulk, Maulana Atta-ul-Haq Darwaish, Maulana Rafiullah Qasmi, Maulana Rahat Hussain, Abdul Jalil Jan, Haji Ishaq Zahid, Maulana Ainuddin Shakir, Maulana Aziz Ahmad and Maulana Fazal Mabood.
The meeting discussed prevailing political situation, upcoming general elections, target killing of Ulema, anti-Madaris steps, recommendations of the district chapters and other important issues in detail.
Unveiling details of the decisions taken in the meeting, the Provincial Secretary Information, Maulana Abdul Jalil Jan said that the party has decided to participate in the upcoming general elections with a strong and solid strategy and for this purpose, all members of the executive council have been given special tasks and directed to evolve strategy and line of action for the success of JUI-F candidates in their respective districts.
In the light of the recommendations of the districts regarding candidates for National and Provincial Assemblies, the meeting constituted four different committees. The committee for southern districts is comprised of Maulana Shuja-ul-Mulk, Maulana Atta-ul-Haq Darwaish and Maulana Rafiullah Qasmi.
Similarly, the committee for central districts is comprised of Mufti Kifayatullah, Abdul Jalil Jan, and Maulana Rahat Hussain while committee for Malakand Region is comprised of Haji Mohammad Ishaq Zahid, Maulana Fazal Mabood and Maulana Aziz Ahmad.
Furthermore, committee for FATA and central districts is comprised of Maulana Gul Naseeb Khan, Maulana Ainuddin Shakir, Abdul Waheed Marwat and Abdul Jalil Jan. These committees will interview the aspiring candidates for National and Provincial Assemblies in light of the recommendations of the district chapters of the party.
During the meeting, the members of Election Cell Committee comprising of Maulana Atta-ul-Haq Darwaish, Maulana Aziz Ahmad and Maulana Fazal Mabood briefed the provincial executive council on the recommendations and applications sent by districts. They told the executive council that 12 districts including Lakki Marwat, Bannu, Karak, Kohat, Mardan, Malakand, Dir Lower, Dir Upper, Chitral, Torghar and Battagram have handed over complete lists of candidates of National and Provincial Assemblies and recommendations to the provincial committee.
