Federal Minister for Defence production, Rana Tanveer Hussain attended the opening ceremony of the 25th International Defence Industry Exhibition in Kielce, Poland. He visited different stalls. The minister had a meeting with Polish Minister for National Defence, Antoni Macierewicz.
Both the ministers discussed issues of bilateral importance with special focus on the cooperation in the field of defence production. Both the ministers appreciated the existing excellent relations between Pakistan and Poland and agreed to enhance bilateral cooperation in a number of fields.
The minister for defence production was accompanied by Major General Tariq Ghafoor and Ambassador of Pakistan to Poland Shafqat Ali Khan.
Rana Tanveer Hussain also had a meeting with Polish Deputy Minister for National Defence Bartosz Kownacki and discussed about the areas of cooperation in defense production sector. The minister stressed on the need for frequent interaction between the two countries. S. Babur Girgin, Ambassador of Turkey called on Federal Minister for Defence, Engr Khurram Dastgir Khan in his office today. He reiterated Pakistan's strong desire to strengthen its partnership with Turkey in all fields including defense cooperation. He appreciated the democratic and development initiatives of President Recep Tayyib Erdogan as visionary leader.
The federal minister appreciated the recent visit of General Hulusi Akar, commander Turkish Armed Forces to further foster the relations between both brotherly countries. He also extended his thanks for the construction of fleet tanker for Pakistan Navy.
