Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has commenced its post-hajj operations to bring back more than 57,000 Hujjaj to Pakistan from Jeddah and Madinah on Wednesday. According to official details, PIA has kicked off its post-Hajj operation from September 6, 2017 and brought more than 1,000 Hujjaj to Pakistan via flights reached Karachi, Islamabad and Lahore on the first day of its operations.
PIA's first post-Hajj flight from Jeddah PK732 carrying 384 Hujjaj arrived at Jinnah International Airport Karachi. Governor Sindh, Mohammad Zubair along with returning Hujjaj were welcomed and received by CEO PIA Dr Musharraf Rasool Cyan, Chief Commercial Officer, Bilal Munir Sheikh along with senior officials of the airline. All returning Hujjaj of the first post-Hajj flight were presented with rose garlands on their arrival.
Sharing his views on arrival at Jinnah International Airport; Governor Sindh, Mohammad Zubair commended the services of PIA and appreciated the flight's on time departure and arrival. The other Hujjaj also expressed satisfaction over the performance of PIA. The Hujjaj at Islamabad and Lahore airports were also welcomed and received by PIA senior officials.
PIA will bring back more than 57,000 Hajjis to Pakistan from Jeddah and Madinah to Karachi, Islamabad, Lahore, Peshawar, Quetta, Multan, Faisalabad and Sialkot through its Hajj flights and regular scheduled flights. The post hajj operation will conclude on October 5, 2017.
