Hyderabad Press Club (HPC) was the hub of the major rallies where activists of various political and religious organisations gathered after marching through various roads of Hyderabad, Latifabad and Qasimabad to stage protest demonstrations condemning the brutalities carried out against Rohingyan Muslims of Myanmar and demanded of the world forums and international human rights organisations to take serious notice of the bloodshed.
Jamat Islami Hyderabad staged a big protest demonstration under the leadership of Chief of JI Sindh Dr Mairaj-ul-Huda Siddiqui here at its district office after Jumma Prayers.
Speaking on the occasion, Dr Mairaj-ul-Huda Siddiqui said that the Muslims of Rohingya are being burnt alive and around 0.2 million people have been forced to migrate to Bangladesh in few weeks time. He was very critical of the silence of UNO and OIC over the massacre in Myanmar adding that there is great need to launch crusade at political and diplomatic levels to compel the Myanmar Government to stop atrocities against their minority Muslim population.
He also demanded the implementation of the report prepared by former UN Secretary General to grant nationality to Rohingyan Muslim in Myanmar. Among others, Hafiz Tahir Majeed, the district chief of Jamat also addressed the participants and slammed the brutalities committed against minority Rohingyan Muslims in Myanmar. President JUP (Noorani) Sahibzada Abul Khair Muhammad Zubair and the party workers took out a big rally under the leadership of Dr Younus Danish, Nazim Ali Arain and Hussain Bux Hussaini from Dargah Abdul Wahab Shah which after marching through different routes culminated in front of Hyderabad Press Club.
Chief of JUI (F) Moulana Fazalur Rehman, the workers of JUI (F) Hyderabad district also observed the protest day. While delivering Jumma sermons, Moulana Azam Jehangiri, Haji Abdul Malik Talpur, Moulana Abdul Hadi Brohi, Moulana Abdul Rasheed Parihar, Moulana Ziaur Rehman, Moulana Abdul Malik Brohi and Moulana Aijaz Shaikh have strongly condemned the brutalities against the Muslims in Myanmar and called upon the Muslim world to play its due role in stopping bloodshed of their Muslim brothers in Rohingya. They also demanded the termination of diplomatic relations with Myanmar government.
The workers of Pakistan Sunni Tehreek also took out a rally from Haider Chowk to Hyderabad Press Club to express solidarity with Rohingyan Muslims of Myanmar. Khalid Hussain Attari who led the rally strongly condemned the massacre of Muslims in Myanmar and called upon the UNO and international human rights organizations to force the Myanmar Government to stop bloodshed of the minority Muslims in Rohingya.
