12 drown off Hawksbay beach

At least twelve family members drowned off Hawksbay beach, here on Saturday. According to rescue sources, picnickers were taking bath after sunset when rough water dragged them to deep sea. During the rescue operation, divers recovered bodies of all of them and shifted to Civil Hospital Karachi (CHK) for medico-legal formalities. Police said the ill-fated family members, who lived in Nazimabad area, were identified as Amna, Tahir, Iman, Nasir, Parveen Aslam, Sarfraz and others.
