Former Senator and JUI-F stalwart, Haji Ghulam Ali, has said that the PTI government had miserably failed in fulfilling electoral commitments regarding provision of health, education and other facilities to the people of the province. In a statement, he said that the claims of the provincial government regarding health, education sector reforms, Tsunami Billion Tree project and construction of 350 hydel power stations are limited only to social media.
The former JUI-F Senator was also critical of the response of the PTI led provincial government to dengue, which during last twenty-four hours had claimed the lives of three more persons including a woman teacher raising death toll from the epidemic to over three dozens. He said that if the PTI had taken decisions above party politics, then it would have succeeded in arresting dengue spread and with the help and assistance of the experts of Punjab would have saved several precious lives. But, he lamented that the provincial government is considering utilization of the expertise of Punjab's team as their insult and had put human lives at risk by sending medical teams back to their province.
Haji Ghulam Ali said that today the people of several districts including Peshawar are at the mercy of dengue. He said that the confirmation of the dengue virus in more than 300 persons during last twenty-four hours had proved that the failure of the steps taken by the health department, WSSP and other organizations for the prevention of dengue.
He said that since last three months they are complaining that dengue mosquito is on rampage in Peshawar and were demanded solid steps for the prevention of dengue but their demands were considered a little. Haji Ghulam Ali, who is also a former District Nazim of the provincial metropolis castigated PTI saying that even during the prevailing critical situation, the District Nazim Peshawar along with district council members are enjoying trips on the public exchequer. He said that the central and provincial leadership of the PTI should know that the people of Peshawar are well aware of the injustices done to them and they will avenge the injustices in the general elections of 2018 by rejecting PTI.
