Sheikh Abdul Waheed has been elected Chairman Pakistan Vanaspati Manufacturers Association (PVMA) for the year 2017-18. According to an announcement of the PVMA, Sheikh Atif Rasheed and Sheikh Khalid Islam were also unanimously elected Senior Vice Chairman and Vice Chairman respectively.
Sheikh Khalid Islam, Rafiullah, Raja Muhammad Farooq, Sheikh Atif Rasheed, Tariq Ullah Sufi, Chaudhry Shams Ul Haq, Abid Ali Malik, Umer Rehan, Syed Ali Shakir Hashmi & Shakeel Ashfaq were elected as members of the Executive Committee for the year 2017-2019.
Umer Islam Khan, Secretary General/Chief Election Commissioner, PVMA announced the final results at 74th Annual General Meeting of the Association at Islamabad. The Executive Committee and Members of PVMA congratulated Sheikh Abdul Waheed and hoped that being a veteran, seasoned and experienced person he will fully utilise his potentialities to resolve the problems being faced by the ghee/cooking oil industry. Later, function was held to bid farewell to the outgoing Chairman Izaz Elahi Malik and welcome the incoming Chairman Sheikh Abdul Waheed. Both outgoing and incoming chairmen, in their speeches highlighted the challenges being faced by the industry. Sheikh Abdul Waheed thanked the members for reposing confidence in him and assured to solve their problems on fast track basis.-PR
