I am pleased to learn that the Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry FPCCI is holding its 5th Achievement Awards Ceremony in recognition of the services of individuals and organizations of Pakistan. Such occasions play an important role in honouring individuals and organizations that tailor hard and render invaluable services in the multiple fields.
Events like this provide a good opportunity to the individuals and organizations to analyze emerging trends of the global markets and devise strategies for augmentation and diversification of the country's economy. Countries across the world compete for greater share in the international market on the basis of quality, diversification and value addition of their products. Unfortunately, the scourge of terrorism and energy crisis has hit the country's economy but due to efforts by the government, peace is prevailing in the country and we are fast moving towards the resolution of energy crisis as well.
CPEC is Pakistan's moment of transformative opportunity. To unlock the potential of CPEC, we need to strengthen the capacity and technical know-how of our local firms and businesses and also increase the institutional capacity of our organizations. Besides, we need to evolve such business models which may enable us to start joint collaboration with our foreign partners.
I hope that FPCCI is mindful of the challenges faced by the country's economy and ready to benefit from the available opportunities as well. On this occasion, I congratulate FPCCI on its devotion and sincere efforts to promote talent of the country. Such individuals and organizations must be complemented and their services lauded for their dedication and hard work. In the end, I would like to extend my heartiest felicitations to all award winners on their outstanding performance and contribution in economic development of the country and wish them tremendous success for the future.
