Jamiat-e-Ulema Islam-Samiul Haq group (JUI-S) has announced its support for the ruling Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf candidate for the by-election in constituency NA-4, Peshawar IV. The by-poll is scheduled to be held on October 26. JUI-S Central Secretary Information, Maulana Yousaf Shah and Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Minister for Information, Shah Faramn made announcement during a joint press conference at Peshawar Press Club here on Wednesday. The NA-4 seat was fallen vacant due to sudden demise of PTI Gulzar Khan. Arbab Amir Ayub is contesting the by-election on PTI ticket, who is from the family of late ANP MNA Arbab Mohammad Zahir.
On the occasion, JUI-S leader, Maulana Bilal, district ameer, Maulana Abdul Haseeb Haqqani, Fata leader, Maulana Saeedur Rehman Haqqani, and Mufti Zafar Zaman were present. Shah Farman assailed the PML-N led federal government for omitting clause finality of the Prophethood (Khatm-e-Nabuwat) (PBUH) from the Election Bill 2017. He termed it was a sensitive issue and will be taken seriously. He said that the bill was passed to benefit a specific person. The minister said the incumbent provincial government had made 'Khatm-e-Nabuwat' part of the education curriculum, along with other measures. He blamed the religious parties for omitting the clause from the Election bill.
