Defence Secretary Lieutenant General Zamir ul Hassan Shah (Retd) met French Secretary General for Defence and National Security Louis Gautier here on Saturday and held a joint security commission talks and highlighted sacrifices rendered by Pakistan in fight against terrorism. Lieutenant General Zamir ul Hassan Shah (Retd) is on an official visit to France in order to attend 5th Round of France-Pakistan security commission talks, held in Paris from October 04 to 06, 2017.
Speaking on the occasion, the Secretary Defence said that international community should acknowledge enormous contributions made by Pakistan. Lieutenant General Zamir ul Hassan Shah (Retd) emphasized that Pakistan has done its utmost to secure stability and ensure peace in the region. International community should play its role to settle the regional issues amicably to avoid any escalation and ensure regional stability. Both sides agreed to further expand and diversify the bilateral relations particularly in the field of defence and security cooperation.
