On Thursday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,018. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 7.071 billion and the number of lots traded was 14,605.Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.527 billion, followed by Currencies through COTS PKR 1.778 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 978.532 million, NSDQ100 PKR 431.158 million, silver PKR 397.360 million, SNP500 PKR 356.279 million, DJIA PKR 347.524 million, platinum PKR 102.845 million, copper PKR 72.414 million, natural gas PKR 69.680 million and Brent crude oil PKR 9.719 million.
In agricultural commodities, 32,465 lots of red chili amounting to PKR 5.356 million were traded.
