Sindh Governor Muhammad Zubair Thursday assured Shia Ulema that he would contact the authorities concerned regarding the missing persons. He stated this in a meeting with a Shia Ulema delegation led by Allama Syed Ahmed Iqbal Rizvi at Governor House, a statement issued here said. He said that the people staged protests, demonstrations, rallies and processions for the resolution to their problems which was their right but difficulties to the people to this effect must also be noted.
Governor Zubair said that peace had been restored in the country including Karachi because of indiscriminate action against criminals, terrorists and foreign elements. Adding that Pak Army, Rangers, Police and other law enforcement agencies have rendered sacrifices for the cause which could not be forgotten.
The Governor said that law enforcement agencies also released people if found innocent after investigation and presented in courts those found guilty. He also assured the delegation of Shia Ulema of contacting authorities concerned for the recovery of missing persons.
