In the final of 14th SBP Governor's Cup Interbank Regional Cricket Tournament recently held at Islamabad, the team ZTBL defeated ABL North Group after a nail-biting encounter. However, team ABL managed to secure a place in the SBP Governor's Cup Interbank Super Series Cricket Tournament 2017-18 which will be played from November 19 to November 27, 2017 at Peshawar in which the winners and runners-up teams from the SBP Governor's Cup Interbank Regional Cricket Tournaments held all over Pakistan will participate.
It is pertinent to mention here that team ABL reached the final with the highest run rate and by defeating all the teams in the same pool as well as from the other pool in the semi-final, including, SBP Islamabad team, SBP Rawalpindi team, SBP Muzaffarabad team and MCB team.
While congratulating the captain Fawad Ahmed and other team members, ABL team's manager Shoeb Naveed Khan also thanked Hussnain Raza Mirza - Group Head CRBG, Iftikhar Mohyuddin - Group Head BSG, Saleh Qamar - Regional Head BSG-Islamabad, Ali Nadeem, Kamran Iqbal and all other supporters for their presence and support to the team ABL.-PR
