The first winter rain which started in most parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during the last 24 hours brought the mercury level down while clearing the environment and giving a fresh look to plants and trees. According to detail, the Met Office forecasted cloudy weather in most parts of the region for next 24 to 48 hours with rain-thunderstorm and snowfall over the hills at scattered places in Chitral, Upper Dir, Lower Dir, Malakand, Swat, Shangla, Buner, Abbottabad, Mansehra, Kohistan, Battagram, Torghar, Peshawar, Charsadda, Nowshera, Mardan, Swabi, Kohat, Hangu, Karak, Bannu, Lakki Marwat, D.I. Khan and Tank district and Bajour, Mohmand, Khyber, Kurram, Orakzai, North and South Waziristan Agencies in FATA.
