Consul General of United States Elizabeth Kennedy Trudeau has said that the National College of Arts, Lahore has not only developed a great stature in Pakistan but has also become an important art institution globally. She expressed these views during her visit to NCA at the invitation of principal of the college NCA Dr Murtaza Jafri where she was shown the exceptional artwork done by renowned water colour artist Dr Ajaz Anwar.
Later she enjoyed a special screening of the film 'Lahore' portraying the work done by John Lockwood Kipling. Ms Kennedy also interacted with the students of NCA, where they shared their creative and professional experiences; she was amazed to see the creative yet productive campus life of NCA.
Later she visited the Department of Film & Television to overview their exchange program undergoing with the University of Texas-Austin. She met students, who recently visited UT-Austin for the exchange program and felt great by sharing their experiences. The Head of Department of Film & Television and other faculty members also interacted with her and shared their professional practices
In the second phase of the partnership between UT-Austin and NCA, some of faculty members will be visiting UT-Austin for the exchange program. The US Consul General expressed her immense pleasure about her visit to NCA and was completely impressed by the artwork being done at NCA.
