Chicago Board of Trade corn futures ended lower on Friday, following as wheat futures fell to contract lows, traders said. Lackluster weekly US corn export sales and forecasts for improving crop weather in dry areas of Argentina added pressure. CBOT December corn settled down 3 cents at $3.42-1/4 per bushel. For the week, the contract fell 3/4 cent per bushel, or 0.2 percent, to post its fourth straight weekly decline.
Traders shrugged off support from a weaker dollar, which tends to make US grains more attractive to those holding other currencies.
