Akshay Kumar, Rajinikanth ‘2.0’ leaked online soon after its release
Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth 2.0 released to a thunderous start at the box office on Thursday, however, the film, which is the most expensive film made in India so far, was leaked in full HD online soon after release.
The film has been made with a whopping budget of over Rs 550 crore. Much to the shock of the fans and makers of the film, TamilRockers, an active piracy website, has leaked the entire movie in HD print, within few hours of its release.
The leak occurred despite the Madras High Court directing 37 internet service providers (ISPs) to block over 12,000 websites that exhibit pirated versions of Tamil movies. Meanwhile, some Indian media reports suggest that producers of '2.0' had approached the Madras High Court with a list of websites that had illegally uploaded the pirated version of the film. But, there has been no official confirmation on the same.
Film '2.0', which talks about the harmful effects of radiation emanating from cell phone towers, has just hit theatres and it has been receiving mixed response from the audience.
Earlier, the same online portal leaked the HD version of Aamir Khan-Amitabh Bachchan starrer 'Thugs of Hindostan' soon after its release.
