On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,028. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 5.454 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,958. Major business was contributed by gold PKR 2.579 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 1.288 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 734.729 million, silver PKR 406.080 million, platinum PKR 189.488 million, NSDQ100 PKR 91.860 million, DJIA PKR 77.925 million, natural gas PKR 46.271 million, SNP500 PKR 21.509 million, copper PKR 10.509 million and Brent crude oil PKR 8.570 million. In agricultural commodities 15,905 lots of red chilli amounting to PKR 2.815 million were traded.
