Jamaat-e-Islami chief and Sirajul Haq proposed to the Muslim rulers to expel the US envoys from their respective countries in reaction to the President Donald Trump's controversial decision to recognise Jerusalem as the Capital of Israel.
"There must be an Islamic Military Alliance to defend the collective interest of the Muslim world and chalk out a comprehensive agenda for the liberation of Jerusalem and Occupied Kashmir on a priority basis," he said, addressing the supporters at a huge 'Al-Quds Million March,' the JI staged to condemn US policy on Jerusalem. Siraj who is also a Senator led the rally that was taken out from NIPA Chowrangi and culminated at Hassan Square. They marched to express solidarity with the oppressed people of Palestine. Tens of thousands of people including women and children participated, carrying anti-US and pro-Palestinians banners. They were chanting slogans such as 'Yes to al-Aqsa Mosque,' 'Down with Israel,' and Down with America."
Siraj further proposed to the Islamic countries to introduce a common Islamic currency for economic defence of Muslims. He urged the Organisation of Islamic Countries (OIC) to establish a support fund for Palestinians legitimate national resistance to the illegitimate occupation of Israel.
"Current struggle should continue till reversal of the US decision on Jerusalem because Jerusalem can never become capital city of Israel," he asserted. The JI chief asked Muslims to remain awakened and demonstrate steadfastness till the independence of Bait-ul-Muqaddas (Jerusalem) and Occupied Kashmir. He predicted 2018 would be the year of independence of both Bait-ul-Muqaddas and held-Kashmir.
He assured Palestinian Mujahideen of full support of Muslims from across the word. He said that the JI's struggle would continue till the withdrawal of the US decision. He accused Trump of putting global peace in danger by Jerusalem policy. The JI chief urged the Muslim world to shun their differences and get united for the sake of oppressed Muslims, in general, and in Palestinians, in particular.
Condemning the suicide bomb blast at the Quetta Church that left at least nine persons dead and many injured on Sunday, JI Chief said India was behind terrorism in Pakistan. He appealed to the Muslims to remain united to thwart the conspiracies and nefarious agendas of the enemies again Pakistan and Islam.
"Pakistan is an ideology and philosophy, not merely a geography," he said, adding, those dreaming to turn this country into a liberal state were living in fools' paradise. He said millions of people were to protect the ideology of Pakistan. He expressed hope that 2018 would be the year when the world would witness enforcement of Islamic system in this country, in its true spirit. Earlier, JI Karachi Chapter's chief Naeem-ur-Rehman said the United States administration had been hatching conspiracies against Muslims by fanning terrorism and destroying the world peace.
