National Accountability Bureau (NAB), Karachi, on Thursday claimed to have arrested 14 KDA officials after Sindh High Court cancelled their interim bails. These officials were named in a reference filed in an Accountability Court. They have been accused of 'China cutting' of 23 amenity plots located at Gulistan-e-Johar and converting them illegally into 296 residential plots, causing loss to the national exchequer amounting more than Rs 1.5 billion. As many as 23 persons have been accused of these charges for trial and of them two had already been given under judicial custody. The arrested 14 accused would also be produced before accountability court for judicial remand.
