On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,253. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 3.205 billion and the number of lots traded was 8,160.
Major business was contributed by gold PKR 1.485 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 510.704 million, platinum PKR 333.482 million, WTI crude oil PKR 249.298 million, silver PKR 163.213 million, DJ PKR 139.702 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 122.776 million, natural gas PKR 87.737 million, copper PKR 61.699 million, SP500 PKR 41.766 million and Brent crude oil PKR 9.135 million. In agricultural commodities 8,726 lot of red chilli amounting to PKR 1.527 million and nine lots of cotton amounting to PKR 3.900 million were traded.
