An eight-year-old seminary student was allegedly tortured to death by his teacher for not attending the classes regularly. The police arrested the teacher on Monday. SHO Bin Qasim Town, Dhani Bux Mari said that seminary teacher Qazi Nizamuddin brutally tortured eight-year-old for fleeing from seminary which resulted in his death.
The parents however refused to conduct post-mortem of the deceased and seem to be reluctant of any legal proceeding into the incident, police said. SSP Malir, Adeel Hussain Chandio said that the seminary teacher involved in torture and responsible for death of the student has been arrested.
He said if the parents refused any action against the accused, then the FIR will be registered against the detainee on behalf of the state and action will be taken after legal proceeding.
