On Friday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,374. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.699 billion and the number of lots traded was 12,476.
Major business was contributed by gold PKR 3.016 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2.044 billion, DJ PKR 409.449 million, platinum PKR 402.063 million, NSDQ 100 PKR 275.991 million, silver PKR 273.318 million, WTI crude oil PKR 149.265 million, natural gas PKR 89.881 million, SP500 PKR 21.125 million copper PKR 11.387 million andBrent crude oil PKR 5.725 million. In agricultural commodities 24 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 10.746 million were traded.
