Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) staged a rally here on Monday to express solidarity with the Kashmiris, waging a just struggle for their right to self-determination. The participants of the rally expressed their firm resolve that they would continue to extend all-out diplomatic and moral support to Kashmiris raising the plight of Kashmiris at all the international forums.
Federal Minister for Railways Khawaja Saad Rafique, Commerce Minister Mohammad Pervaiz Malik, Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir, Advisor to Chief Minister Khawaja Ahmed Hassan, Shaista Pervaiz Malik MNA, Lord Mayor Colonel Mubashar Javed (retd) and others spoke on the occasion. Speaking on the occasion, Saad said that India could not keep the people of Kashmir as its slave.
"The people of Kashmir were innocent and they were struggling for their just right of freedom," he said, adding: "Strong Pakistan would strengthen the freedom movement of Kashmiris." Saad maintained that all political parties of the country and the whole nation were unanimous over the right of self-determination of the people of occupied Kashmir.
"The PML-N had always highlighted Kashmir issue on all national and international forums, he said, adding: "Resolution of Kashmir issue, under the UN resolutions, was needed for durable peace in the region." Saad further said that India would starve to death if it did not give freedom to the people of Kashmir. He stressed that the United Nations must shun its double standards.
Commerce Minister Pervaiz Malik in his address said the PML-N would continue its support with the people of Kashmir in their just struggle. He slammed the Indian atrocities on innocent Kashmiris saying that the just struggle of Kashmirirs cannot be suppressed through use of force. Shaista Pervaiz Malik MNA said that independence was the basic right of all human beings. She urged the international community to take notice of human rights violations by India against Kashmiris.
Punjab Health Minister Khawaja Imran Nazir said the PML-N would continue its support to the Kashmiris in their just struggle. Other speakers said Kashmiris are waging an ideological struggle in which hundreds of thousands of Kashmiri people have lost their lives in freedom struggle, while thousands others have been disabled but they are not ready to give up. They said that Kashmir is of Kashmiris and they would get freedom.
Moreover, major political parties on Monday set up their camps side-by-side on The Mall Road to express solidarity with the people of occupied Kashmir. PML-N, PTI and PPP set up their camps right in front of the Punjab Assembly on The Mall Road.
