Kashmir Solidarity Day was observed in Faisalabad to renew the pledge that Pakistani nation would continue moral support of Kashmiris till their success for getting freedom. Different govt, social, religious, political, traders and other organizations stage rallies, seminars, conferences and other programmes to express solidarity with the Kashmiri brethrens and condemning the India atrocities on held Kashmiri people. Pakistan People's Party, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Awami Tehreek, Difah-e-Pakistan Council, Jamaat-e-Islami and other political parties also taken out rallies and staged demonstration to morally support Kashmiris.
State Minister Water & Power Ch Abid Shair Ali and Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani inaugurated the 3-day photo exhibition at Nusrat Fateh Ali Khan Art Gallery atrocities of Indian army in occupied Kashmir. ADC HQ Mian Aftab Ahmad, Director Art Council Sofia Bedar, Care Taker Iqbal Stadium Naveed Nazir, people from different walks of life were also present on this occasion.
Expressing his views the State Minister said that the Kashmir is integral part of Pakistan and people of Pakistan has stood with the Kashmiri and moral diplomatic support would continue for the Kashmiris. He said Kashmiri people are struggling for the last 71 years to get freedom and they had rendered a lot of sacrifices in this struggle. He said PML- govt had raised the Kashmir issue on every national and international forum for its solution according to the resolution passed by United Nation and highlighted the violation of human rights in held Kashmir as well.
Deputy Commissioner Salman Ghani said that the right of the self determination should be given to the people of occupied Kashmir to decide their fate on their own will. He said that the independence is the right of occupied Kashmiri people and the hearts of Pakistani people beat with the kashmiri brethren.
Speech and declamation contests were held among the students at different schools while seminars were also held in educational institutions in which student speakers delivered speeches on held Kashmir issue and highlighted the violation of human rights.
Kashmir Day was observed at the University of Agriculture to show solidarity with Kashmiris in their struggle for freedom. The event arranged by Public Relations and Publications Department and Senior Tutor Office was chaired by UAF Vice Chancellor Dr Muhammad Iqbal Zafar. A rally was also taken out from Admin Block to express support to the Kashmiris in the struggle for their inalienable right to self-determination under the United Nations (UN) resolution.
