Cold, dry weather forecast

The Met Office on Thursday forecast mainly cold and dry with partly cloudy weather in the most parts of the country in the next 24 hours. However, it said that a light rain-thunderstorm with light snow over the hills is expected at few places in Quetta and Makran Divisions. "Continental air is prevailing over most parts of the country.
Fresh westerly trough is likely to affect western parts of the country from Friday," it said. In the last 24 hours weather remained cold and dry in the most parts of the country. Temperature in Kalat was minus 8 degrees Celsius, Kalam and Quetta minus 6, each, Astore minus 5, Gupis, Gilgit and Parachinar minus 4, each in the last 24 hours.
