The Regional Board Meeting (RBM) of National Accountability Bureau Khyber Pakhtunkhwa was held under the chairmanship of Farmanullah Khan, Director General NAB (KP) at Peshawar. The meeting was attended by Directors, Case Officers, Senior Legal Consultants and other concerned officers. Several important decisions were made in the Regional Board Meeting.
The board authorized inquiry against Major Syed Khalid Amin Shah (retd), chief Security Officer Peshawar Development Authority (PDA) by the direction of chairman. It is alleged that, Syed Khalid Amin Shah was illegally appointed and regularised as Chief Security Officer (CSO) in PDA. It is further alleged in the complaint that accused person is actively involved in corruption in allotment of car parking, toll plazas, encroachments, clinics etc.
The accused is alleged to have made 120 appointments of different scales in PDA in gross violation of laws. Another inquiry was authorised against security companies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa and Officers of EOBI for corrupt practices.
It is alleged that these companies in connivance with the officials of EOBI have embezzled pension benefits of hundreds of private security guards dispensing services across the province. The board also authorized an inquiry against officers/Official of TMA Dargai (Revenue Department Dargai) and Haji Zafar Khan (Private Person). It is alleged that Haji Zafar Khan garbed state-owned land worth Rs 160 million located near Tehsil Nazim's Office main G T Road Dargai in connivance with TMA Dargai employees.
Furthermore, the board approved filing a reference against Ex-XEN PHED, FATA Division Kohat regarding misuse of authority and embezzlement of funds. The accused person procured substandard voltage stabilizers on exorbitant rates in complete violation of procurement rules causing huge loss to national exchequer.
Director General NAB (KP) Farmanullah Khan expressed his resolve to eradicate of corruption from the Province of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa through accountability regime.
