Avengers End Game trailer: Captain America has one last plan to defeat Thanos
Marvel has finally revealed the most anticipated trailer of ‘Avengers: End Game’. The film is the fourth and final chapter of the Avengers film franchise.
As previously speculated, none of the dusted characters were featured in the trailer. Rather, the trailer largely focused on Robert Downey Jr.'s Tony Stark/Iron Man and Chris Evans' Steve Rogers/Captain America.
In ‘Avengers: Infinity War’ Doctor Strange had looked ahead at all the possible futures and determined that there was only one in which the Avengers beat Thanos. He then gave up the Time Stone, one of the Infinity Stones, to Thanos and told Iron Man, “We’re in the endgame now.”
Clint Barton (Jeremy Renner) makes his highly-anticipated return to the Marvel Cinematic Universe and his on-screen reappearance was everything fans had hoped. Paul Rudd's Ant-man also makes his appearance at the end of trailer.
Notably absent are giant fight scenes or Captain Marvel, the photon-wielding space commander who is expected to make her Avengers debut in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ and help save the day. But rest assured, there’s a plan, as Black Widow (Scarlett Johansson) and Cap tell each other, and the fate of Earth is riding on it.
“I don’t know what I’m going to do if it doesn’t [work],” Cap tells Widow.
Avengers: Endgame is scheduled to open in theaters on April 26, 2019.
