National Club advanced to next round after securing 60 runs victory against Peshawar Badshah in the opening match of the ongoing 24th Governor Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Gold Cup Cricket Tournament being played here at Arbab Niaz Cricket Stadium on Sunday. Organizing Secretary of the tournament and Secretary General AIPs Asian Amjad Aziz Malik was the chief guest on and before the start of the match the players of both the teams were introduced to him.
President Peshawar District Cricket Association Asghar Ali, Secretary Syed Hanif Shah, Farid Khan were also present. National Club won the toss and elected to bat first by setting up 168 runs after playing 31.3 overs of the allotted 35 overs match. In reply, Peshawar Badshah bundled out for 108 runs in 28.2 overs.
