For the first time in its history, the Annual Meeting of South Asian Forum of Employers is being held in Karachi on February 19-20, hosted by Employers Federation of Pakistan. This was disclosed by Zaki Ahmed Khan, Vice President EFP in a press release.
Zaki Ahmed Khan said that the inaugural ceremony would be at Sindh Governor House where Governor Muhammad Zubair would be the chief guest. The ceremony will be attended by delegates from Afghanistan, Bangladesh, India, Nepal, Pakistan and Srilanka as well as senior representative from Dutch Employers Cooperation Programme ILO Country Office Islamabad ILO ACT/EMP office New Delhi, diplomat of South Asian countries and Board of Directors of EFP.
Zaki Ahmed Khan further informed that the SAFE Conclave 2018 is destined to be a game changer as the meeting agenda is planned to focus on the changing relative of South Asia and the global environment. The presence of DECP and ILO will be imperative in ensuring that SAFE would become a strong organization in the region in area of industrial relations, human resources development, decent work, environment, worker welfare etc. and will also become a formidable lobbying and advocacy organization. -PR
