On the directives of PESCO chief executive, recovery campaign against defaulter consumers has been geared up throughout Khyber Pakhtunkhwa. In this connection, teams of Pesco Hangu Division disconnected power supply to defaulters to the areas of Mhomand Khawaja from 25 KVA transformer due to non-payment of Rs 650,000. Similarly, power supply has been disconnected to Sarozai Payan due to non-payment of Rs 354,000 from a 50KVA transformer. Furthermore, teams of Hangu Division nabbed 15 persons using direct hooks. FIRs have been lodged against them in the concerned police station.
The company had issued notices to the defaulters to pay the outstanding arrear bills but they failed to clear dues.
