Having more than 800 filling stations across the country, Total PARCO Pakistan Limited will expand its network by adding 50 filling stations annually to penetrate deeply in the local market. The company has also maintained high level of efficiency to achieve high share in growing intense competition in the fuel and lubricant marketing sectors.
Oliver Sabrie, Chief Executive Officer CEO Total PARCO Pakistan Limited stated this at a meeting of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FPCCI)'s Standing Committee on Petroleum Products here on Wednesday at Federation House. The meeting was mainly convened to provide interactive platform to the members of FPCCI from petroleum sector to redress their issues as well as to appraise them about the future plans of the company.
Oliver took stock of the situation of the existing fuel market in the country and said dealers and company are engaged in a partnership in which both are concerned with the business. He, however, pointed out that they would engage more the dealers to get them on board about the expansion in the company's business network in oil and lubricant sectors.
Talking about the issue of smuggled oil products in the country and their impact on company's business, CEO said that company has maintained high level of efficiency in its operations, which saved it from impact of smuggled oil products. Responding to a query about hundred percent company's own logistic fleet, Oliver said company has ensured high level of compliance in its carriage fleet. "We have also engaged our carriage contractors to invest in upgrade of our fleet for safe transportation of fuel", he stated.
Oliver assured the dealers that their issues would be addressed at their earliest to ensure a long term partnership. Earlier Chairman Standing Committee Abdul Sami Khan highlighted the issues of petroleum dealers and stressed that there is a strong need to cut the Iranian diesel smuggling to secure the interest of dealers as well as oil marketing companies.
