The incidents of crimes including robbery, kidnappings and carjacking registered an increase in the federal capital during the last week. According to data gathered by Business Recorder through registered FIRs here on Saturday, over six cases of motor vehicle theft, one case of murder, five cases of various kinds of thefts and five other cases of kidnapping were reported to various police stations of the city during last week.
Aabpara police station registered two cases of auto theft and one case of kidnapping. Auto thieves stole a bike bearing registration number RIO-820 of Danish Mashi from the limits of Aabpara police station. Another bike bearing registration number RIK-7253 of Abdul Hassan was stolen from the limits of the same police station.
One Nayamat Masih filed a complaint with Aabpara police station that accused Abid along with others kidnapped his son Nauman. He informed police that the motive behind crime could be old enmity. Industrial Area police station registered one case of kidnapping and two of robberies during the last week. One Muhammad Hanif filed a complaint with Industrial Area police station that unknown persons kidnapped his daughter.
In another incident, Robina Nadeem informed Industrial Area police station that accused Muqadas and Shahid stole cash and gold ornaments from his house. Similarly, two armed persons snatched cash and one cell phone from Adnan Abbasi in the limits of Industrial Area police station.
During the period under review, Tarnol police station registered two cases of kidnapping. One Inamur Rehman informed Tarnol police station that unknown persons kidnapped his brother Masoodur Rehman. In another incident, one Noor Nabi filed a complaint with Tarnol police station that accused Ayesha and Umer Farooq kidnapped his wife.
