On Monday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,398. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at PKR 6.463 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,799.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.569 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.494 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 845.235million, platinum PKR 587.145 million, silver PKR 413.578 million, DJ PKR 286.516 million, NSDQ100 PKR 142.731 million, SP500 PKR 54.721 million natural gas PKR 25.196 million, Brent PKR 23.125 million and copper PKR 21.483 million. In agricultural commodities, 3 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 1.440 million were traded.
