Sui Southern Gas Company (SSGC) has intensified its operation against theft in its franchise areas. The CGTO operation wing Karachi conducted raid in Orangi town sector 15-A area on plastic molding factory preparing plastic crockery. The owner of the factory was stealing gas from direct main gas pipeline through fake meter for running power generator of 31Kv. FIR is lodged against Muhammad Faheem s/o Muhammad Naseem.
In Hyderabad different teams comprising on dedicated officials raided on industries and commercial units. The industrial team visited M/s. Indus Dyeing in Site Area Hyderabad. The target was selected based on careful study of spikes and consumption pattern through 4c Wireless modem.
During a detailed inspection carried out of the industry it was revealed that the customer had approx 47,000 cft/hr Extra load connected. As per the Documents provided by the Manager, Customer had its load approved at approx 123,416 cft/hr whereas the actual physical load was approx 171,289 cft/hr (13.703 Mega Watt). The industry was found involved in violation of GSA and of Gas Theft and Recovery Act 2016.-PR
