On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,417. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 4.966 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,002. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.062 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 837.276million, WTI crude oil PKR 826.128 million, platinum PKR 584.480 million, NSDQ100 PKR 206.481 million, DJ PKR 199.739 million, silver PKR 137.171 million, SP500 PKR 54.887 million, natural gas PKR 27.754 million, copper PKR 23.936 million and Brent PKR 6.448 million. In agricultural commodities, 132lots of cotton amounting to PKR 64.265 million were traded.
