Leisure Leagues Season III: Football Club Karachi emerge champions with 23 points
Football Club Karachi (FCK) won 11 out of its 14 matches and drew one to accumulate 23 points and emerged as champions in Premier League played during Leisure Leagues Season III here at Karachi United Football Stadium. FC Karachi maintained a difference of 33 goals and lost only two matches to top the league's chart. FC Karachi drew its last league match 1-1 against Liverpool FC.
Meanwhile, Façade Football Club secured second position with 10 wins and a draw, accumulating 21 points and a goal difference of 29. It won last match against Iqbal Memorial by 2-1. Liverpool Football Club secured third position with 19 points in the eight-team event. Facade FC was adjudged best team of the day while Dillon Espenheiro of Liverpool received best goal-keeper award. Meanwhile, the last round of another eight-team Premier Leisure of Leagues Season III underway here at 16-Star Football Ground on Sunday, May 6.
The league underway at 16-Star is facing interesting situation as table toppers North Muslim football team with 22 points would face stiff resistance from second placed RF United, who are only one point behind North Muslim with 22 points.
However, RF United has a huge goal difference as it has 30 as compared to North Muslim's 22. If RF United wins its match and North Muslim losses or drew its final round match then RF United would most likely top tables and would become champions of Season III 16-Star venue.
The two teams don't have any threat from lower ranked teams on the table as the closest, the third placed side Sir Syed FC has accumulated 15 points, which means either North Muslim or RF United would remain as top two sides at the end of the league.
