On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,454. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 4.993 billion and the number of lots traded was 10,540.
Major business was contributed by WTI crude oil amounting to PKR 1.801 billion, followed by gold PKR 1.406 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 924.583 million, silver PKR 313.493 million, platinum PKR 215.758 million, DJ PKR 108.525 million, SP500 PKR 88.378 million, NSDQ100 PKR 44.828 million, natural gas PKR 40.407 million, copper PKR 36.150 million and Brent PKR 13.605 million.
In agriculture, 7 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 7.843 million were traded.
