The Political Administration of Mohmand Agency on Friday released 14 prisoners, mostly detained for petty issues on eve of Ramzan-ul-Mubarak. The prisoners were released on the directives issued by the Political agent Muhammad Wasif Saeed while presiding over a meeting held in the agency headquarters Ghalanai on the other day. The meeting was also attended by all the Assistant political agents and other officials.
It was decided in the meeting that those all the detainees will be free who were arrested in petty issues for the respect of Ramazan. APA Upper Mohmand Tariq Ullah, Political Tehsildar Safi Khalid Khan visited Political lockup Ghalanai and released 13 persons involved in petty nature cases.
Similarly, APA Lower Mohmand Touseef Khalid also visited Lower Mohmand Political lockup at Ekka ghound and released one person involved in petty issue. Security has been beefed up across the entire Mohmand tribal region with deployment of extra FC, Levy and Khassadars force at various busy and sensitive sites and check posts in the agency and other areas to avert any threat on Ramazan, official sources told this correspondent.
When contacted Assistant Political Agent Ekkaghund Touseef Khalid told local journalists that on the special directives of the Political Agent the local administration with the help of Levy and Khassadars forces complete foolproof security to maintain peace and order across the tribal region, security staff including FC force headed by Sobedar have been deputed at all busy places including bazaars and various checkposts in order to maintain law and order situation and to deal with any eventuality.
