South Korea's largest feedmaker Nonghyup Feed Inc. (NOFI) has issued an international tender to purchase up to 69,000 tonnes of feed wheat, European traders said on Friday. The grain can be sourced from any origin and the tender deadline is May 18. Arrival in South Korea is sought around Nov. 10. Shipment was sought for between Oct. 7 and Oct. 26 if sourced from the US Pacific North West Coast, Australia or Canada; between Sept. 18 and Oct. 7 if from the US Gulf or east Europe and between Sept. 13 and Oct. 2 if from South America.
The tender continues strong feed wheat demand from South Korean importers this week. On Thursday, South Korea's Major Feedmill Group (MFG) purchased about 130,000 tonnes and the Feed Leaders Committee (FLC) purchased about 65,000 tonnes.
