Vice Chairperson Overseas Pakistanis Commission (OPC) Punjab Senator Shaheen Khalid Butt and Commissioner Afzaal Bhatti have said that Punjab government should be commended for its proactive approach towards welfare of Pakistanis living abroad. Overseas Pakistanis are integral part of our society and playing a key role in strengthening of national economy. Presiding over a departmental meeting they said that Overseas Pakistanis are the real face of the country.
Shaheen Khalid Butt and Afzaal Bhatti said that role of District Overseas Pakistanis Committees (DOPCs) is of great importance in resolving the issues of expatriates. Chairpersons of DOPCs should ensure fortnightly meetings so that maximum complaints of expatriates can be solved. Certain complaints of Overseas Pakistanis also came under discussion during the meeting and VC and Commissioner OPC issued necessary directions in this regard.
