On Wednesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,494. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at 7.226 billion and the number of lots traded was 11,937.
Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 2.090 billion, followed by currencies through COTS PKR 2.052 billion, WTI crude oil PKR 1.265 billion, NSDQ100 PKR 689.179 million, platinum PKR 368.563 million, DJ PKR 237.697 million, silver PKR 144.148 million, SP500 PKR 143.216 million, copper PKR 129.991 million, Brent PKR 72.679 million and natural gas PKR 32.434 million.
In agriculture, 5lots of cotton amounting to PKR 7.056 million were traded.
