The management of Hilal-e-Ahmar Charitable General Hospital suspended the OPD services of its general and cardiac hospitals on Tuesday in protest against the arrest of a doctor by the police.
According to police, a patient had lost his life in the hospital on Monday due to wrong treatment by doctor. The heirs of the deceased had lodged a complaint, on which the police arrested Dr Nauman.
As the result of the arrest of Dr Nauman, the medical and paramedical staff of general and cardiac hospitals of Hilal-e-Ahmar started protest against the arrest of the doctor and after that, the hospital management closed the OPD services for indefinite period, causing great inconvenience to the patients coming to both hospitals of Hilal-e-Ahmar.
