He said, "HEC's primary role is to provide 'quality' education; and 'quality' to me is a comprehensive term, achieving which in today's world would not be possible without embracing in entirety the concept and practice of capacity building system, managing learning environment and campus management system; supported, facilitated and managed through information technology tools."
Professor Dr Ghulam Raza Bhatti, HEC Member Operations and Planning presented a summary sheet, outlining HEC's journey from University Grants Commission (UGC)-merely a funding agency to HEC-the regulatory outfit.
HEC CPS-ORIC Project Consultant Tanveer Ahmed said that the purpose of CPS-ORIC project was to develop digital data pool as regarded information about all universities and their stakeholders. A data pool or archive that would serve as a single version of truth: credible, valid and reliable.
