On Tuesday at Pakistan Mercantile Exchange Limited, PMEX Commodity Index closed at 3,474. The traded value of Metals, Energy and COTS/FX was recorded at USD 4.788 billion and the number of lots traded was 7,141. Major business was contributed by gold amounting to PKR 1.450 billion, followed by WTI crude oil PKR 1.056 billion, currencies through COTS PKR 1.004 billion, platinum PKR 320.903 million, NSDQ100 PKR 309.851 million, SP500 PKR 184.664 million, copper PKR 179.098 million, silver PKR 108.589 million, natural gas PKR 92.602 million, DJ PKR 57.306 million and Brent crude oil PKR 23.965 million. In agriculture, 28 lots of cotton amounting to PKR 19.382 million were traded.
